Non-contractual pictures, the crossbow in movie is a unique creation. The side scallops and the ivory butt stock will not be reproduced identically. Original decorations (coat of arms with the customer's initials) will be proposed instead. The crossbow will be equipped with an ivory gutter and a black or white horn cheek rest (on request).
The bow is made of V325 steel with a power of approximately 16 pounds and the string is made of Dyneema fiber braided in the classic method.
The pavise and the quiver are hand-illuminated (crushed pigments bound in glue) enhanced by some gold leaf gilding. The parchment used is vellin (the finest and most expensive available). The drawing motif will be chosen by the customer and then "interpreted and adapted" to the objects shapes (pavise, quiver) by Gilles Lavandera.
The bolts, of oblond shape, are made: wild heather, parchment fletching and treated steel tips (3 triangular, 3 square).
